One of the core collections from Gabriel Ash, the classic greenhouse range mixes traditional materials with modern engineering to create the ultimate in freestanding, wooden greenhouses.

Red Cedar: The Heart of Gabriel Ash Greenhouses

All of Gabriel Ash greenhouses benefit from using western red cedar as the primary framing material choice. One of the main benefits for this is its exceptional durability, and rot resistance. Due to the naturally occurring oils within the grains, this type of cedar is naturally resistant to rot and decay, making it an ideal material for garden structures that will be exposed to the elements. Along with being weather-resistant and strong, it is also resistant to insect attacks, which can be a common problem with other types of wood.

In addition to its durability, western red cedar is also aesthetically pleasing. It has a rich, warm colour that adds a natural beauty to any garden, not looking out of place and easily blending into its surroundings.
